Terms of Reference of the AICHR stated “This TOR shall be initially reviewed five years after its entry into force”. The TOR has entered into force in 2009 and it is due to be reviewed in 2014. In preparing the review, the AICHR has to access its works and submit recommendations for the consideration of the ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting.
For that objective, AICHR conducted the regional consultations including consultation with Civil Society Organizations in ASEAN member countries. At the Regional Consultations with CSOs from ASEAN member countries, the participants made inputs for AICHR in formulating the AICHR’s recommendations to ASEAN Foreign Ministers.
